Pole Dancing Benefits
| |
If you have experienced a completely toned body, increased energy and your desired weight loss from a conventional exercise routine: Congratulations! You are one in a million!
Or so it seems to the rest of us. We’ve bounced along to an aerobics class. We’ve contorted our bodies; walked too many miles; eaten too few calories. We’ve crunched, pushed, pulled and jumped for years. And for what? Too few results and too little satisfaction. We still avoid mirrors, duck our heads around “those†women (you know, the ones with the perfect bum and visible abs) and make excuses to avoid our dull exercise routine. Isn’t there something else we can try?
The answer has come from a surprisingly unexpected place: pole dancing. Women across the country are raving about the benefits of taking pole dance classes or learning it at home. These aren’t classes to interview you for a job. No, they are simply groups of women of all walks of life getting together and enjoying life in a whole new way… by pole dancing.
Obviously, holding your body horizontal to a pole with just your abs is going to make some physical changes. Pole dancing participants are finding an amazing increase in upper body strength. It’s not over night, but before you know it, you’ll be making spins and moves that, before, made you laugh when you thought about doing them. Not only does your upper body benefit, but also your core and your legs. The best part about pole dancing is, you barely know you’re exercising. Physical benefits may be obvious, but there are also some less glaring results to be had. One of the most important may very well be an increase in self-esteem. This comes packaged with a newfound awareness of your body and the control you have over it. When a woman begins accomplishing moves and dances in her pole dancing class that she didn’t think possible, that confidence carries over in the way she accomplishes tasks and the way she carries her self.
You may also find this body awareness seeping into your love life. Pole dancing helps you to lose your inhibitions, some of which may be hindering the freedom you allow yourself to let go and enjoy the moment.
If you have experienced a completely toned body, increased energy, a higher level of body awareness, increased self-esteem and improved love making: Congratulations! You’ve found success in your pole dancing classes!
