Pole Dancing Styles
One of the many draws toward pole dancing as an exercise program is how personable it can be. Admittedly, some may shy away from pole dancing classes simply because of the name; but, in reality, you can put as much or as little of any thing into it that you’d like. Pole dancing has become comparable to cooking. Three people could have the same recipe, but you are likely to get three different tastes from them.
Some ladies might like to add a little spice to their mixture. These women might enjoy taking their pole dancing classes in a bar or club- an atmosphere that’s much less “aerobic” and more like dancing. They might prefer a class that focuses more on the sensuality of the dance rather than just the skill of the tricks. Some classes encourage you to strip if you feel the need to, but always leaving reasonable clothing underneath. The spicy pole dancer may enjoy a dress code of hot pants and stilettos over gym shorts and shoes.
This taste may not suit everyone, though. Other women may prefer a stronger flavor, one that is more athletic. A venue suitable to this taste may be a gym with many poles so that each woman can work on her tricks for the whole session, but there is still assistance with each new lesson. A class with less dancing and more muscle toning and athletic development may be the preference for this type of woman. An atmosphere like this may or may not have a specific style of dress.
Finally, there are women that find a mild flavor suits them best. They might not yet feel comfortable showing their curves in little shorts or strutting their stuff in stilettos, and their bodies may not be able to jump right into athletic tricks and moves. That’s fine, too! The beauty of this type of woman is that she isn’t a type at all. One may prefer the comfort of her own home, while another needs the interaction and support of a group of like women enjoying the learning process.
No matter your flavor, you’re likely to find a pole dancing class that suits you. Who knows, maybe after a few twists and twirls, you may find you like something you had never tasted before!
