Pole Dancing For You Volume 2 DVD

While pole dancing is rapidly becoming a nationwide endemic, not everyone lives in an area where classes are available. Maybe you do have classes available, but don’t feel comfortable in a group setting or your schedule doesn’t align with theirs. Or, you may be taking classes and they simply don’t come around again soon enough for you. Whatever your situation may be, there is a simple solution: DVDs!

Pole dancing lessons on DVD offer the flexibility and privacy of home exercise routines, along with the versatility and unique style of pole dancing aerobics. The videos have a wide variety of skill levels and dancing styles, so if you are just beginning or advanced you have an option. Practicing at home also provides you the comfort you may need to really let go and experiment at your own pace, without feeling shy or embarrassed by a group setting.

You can start with a video lesson that teaches you early steps and turns, as well as stretches and toning exercises to help you build the strength you’ll need to advance. From there, you can move to an intermediate session that builds on the basics and allows you to begin to move and dance to music. Eventually, you’ll be doing inverts and flips and turns that you never dreamed you would attempt, much less accomplish with ease.

There is no limit to the amount you can learn at home, but to do the pole exercises you will need to purchase a pole. Poles can be removable and installed anywhere you have a solid ceiling and floor and the space to practice. Poles are usually two inches in diameter and can have more or less friction, depending on the style of dance you would like to pursue. Less friction provides a more fluid dance, while more friction allows for a slower, more complicated style of flips and inverts. Prices can reach $500 or more, so it is quite an investment. You may want to start with a book such as The Art of Pole Dancing: A Spin by Spin Guide, by Peekaboo Pole Dancing Ltd., before you make your investment.
